Answers to frequently asked questions.

Players
How do I join a game?
Scan the projected QR code, or enter the game code (six characters) in the “Game code” field on the home page, then choose a nickname. No account needed.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Stratilead runs in the browser of your phone, tablet or computer. You can add it to your home screen if you like.
I lost my connection during the game.
Reopen the game link or scan the QR code again: you’re back in your seat, in your team, with your current decisions. Changes made offline are sent as soon as the network returns.
Who submits my team’s decisions?
The captain. When roles are enabled, each member can only change the decisions of their own role. Until the round is locked, submitted decisions can be reopened.
Why is my cash going down when I’m making a profit?
Because profit and cash don’t measure the same thing: inventory, investments, loan repayments and payment terms weigh on your cash without affecting profit in the same way. The “Explain this number” button breaks down the calculation for your company.
Facilitators
How do I create my account?
With your Google or Microsoft account (“Sign in”). There is no Stratilead-specific password.
How long does a game last?
From 30 minutes for the lemonade stand to 2.5 or 3 hours for the richest scenarios, debrief included. The number of rounds and the decision time are set when you create the session.
How many players and teams?
Up to 256 players per session. Four to eight companies make for a lively game; with fewer than four teams, add one or two bots; with more than ten, prefer parallel markets or two sessions.
A team hasn’t submitted its decisions.
Add a minute or pause the game from the console. If the team still doesn’t respond, lock and resolve: the engine uses its last valid entry, or the previous round’s decisions.
Can I replay a round?
Yes: from the results, “Replay round” cancels the resolution; teams get their decisions back and can change them. Everyone sees this action, so announce it.
What exports are available after the game?
A CSV of the results (one row per company and per round), a CSV of the participants, a PDF report for the session and a PDF report for each company. They remain available for thirty days.
Network and troubleshooting
The school Wi-Fi blocks the game.
Stratilead uses a persistent connection (WebSocket on port 443, path /rt), with an automatic fallback when it’s blocked. If the lobby doesn’t show players arriving, ask your IT department to allow the platform’s domain, or use a 4G hotspot for the screen and mobile data for the players.
The projection screen has stopped updating.
Reload the screen’s tab: it resynchronizes when it reconnects. If the classroom browser is old, open the screen from your computer connected to the projector.
Which browsers are supported?
The two latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, Safari on iOS 16 and later, Chrome on Android 10 and later.
Accounts and data
Where is the data hosted?
In France, with ByHoster, backups included.
What data is collected?
A guest player only provides a nickname. An account only stores the name, email address, avatar and sign-in provider. There are no tracking cookies.
How do I delete my account or export my data?
From your profile: access, export, correction and deletion are all self-service.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes: account registration is limited to people aged 15 and over. Stratilead is aimed at higher education and adult training.
Scenarios
Can I create my own scenario?
Yes. The format is a publicly documented JSON file: write it by hand, in the editor, or have an AI draft it with the kit, then fix it using the validator’s messages.
Can I adapt an official scenario to my class?
Without editing it: when you create the session, the advanced settings let you change some constants (starting cash…) and turn off events. To go further, start from its file.
